GROUND RULES
Decisions on weather are done in “real time”. The League Commissioner or Designate will make and communicate a decision at least 90 minutes prior to the Shot Gun Start time. Just because it is raining or storming at home doesn’t mean the same is at the Oxford Hills. A minimum of 9 holes will constitute an official Competition. Although 9 holes will produce different scores for different finishing holes the League Administrator will conduct a forensic audit on scores and course handicaps to develop a fair winner and seeding points allocations. An uncompleted competition round does not award points nor count towards averaging. An attended but cancelled competition counts as one of your required 12 required League dates to qualify for the yearend Awards and participation in the Harvest Jug Year End Tournament Kinfolk Division
Weather Delays/Cancellations

LOST BALL
(1) Balls lost in marked (example: red stakes) or declared* hazards are penalized and played according to regular golf rules
(2) If a player or teammate starts the 3 minute search and is unable to find their golf ball than only Option C is available to the player
OUT OF BOUNDS
(3) Player must choose option A or B prior to leaving the location of their last stroke or they must use Option C. In other words… Once the player or teammate starts to search and investigate where the ball is they cannot turn around and go back to the original shot location. This is to keep play moving.
Tip ups with your club are allowed but NO change in playing surface or removing from behind obstacles (except roots).
Tip Ups
The maximum individual score on each hole and for all competitions is 9. After 9 strokes pick up your ball and carry on to the next hole.
Maximum Score
A maximum 12” length “GIMMEE” is allowed but still counted as a stroke. This 12” distance is marked on all pins by a white tape line. The measure is from the bottom of the pin, from the side of the hole, to the ball. The ball touching the white line constitutes inside the “GIMMEE” allowance.
Gimmees
Player handicaps will be re-evaluated after the 6 th and 12 th competition weeks in Hillbillies League play and player divisional seeding will be readjusted.
